Feb 14, 2012 - The Dallas Stars are looking to break two ominous streaks tonight in Detroit to stay alive in the playoff chase - beating Detroit for the first time this season (the Red Wings are 3-0 against the Stars) and breaking the Wings' amazing 20-game home winning streak. A Detroit win tonight would set a NHL record.
In three of the last four seasons, Dallas has posted a losing record after the All-Star break, a mark they're trying to avoid with a young team fighting for the playoffs. So far the Stars are 3-2-1, and entering tonight's games, they're 11thinthe standings, but only 4 points away from 8th place Phoenix.
