Aaron Gagnon Clears Waivers

Stay connected for news and updates

Dallas Stars forward Aaron Gagnon has cleared waivers, allowing the training camp star to stay with the organization. The move was somewhat of a gamble, as the Stars determined that Gagnon would not make the final roster but didn’t want to lose him.

In a similar situation in 2008, the Stars waived B.J. Crombeen early in the season, hoping that he would clear and return later in the season. The Blues claimed him, and he scored 11 goals in a physical role. This time, Dallas made the move in the middle of camp, and the result was more positive.

The Stars also sent former lottery pick Scott Glennie back to his WHL junior league club in Brandon and sent former cup winner Brad Lukowich to Austin.
