NBA Free Agency 2012: Dallas Native C.J. Miles Signs Cleveland Cavaliers

Stay connected for news and updates

Former Dallas Skyline basketball star C.J. Miles is headed to the Cleveland Cavaliers next season, reportedly after being courted by the hometown Mavericks, Rockets and Lakers as well. Jazz beat writer Brian T. Smith says this decision was more about opportunity than money.

Miles will join Kyrie Irving, the Cavs' No.1 pick from last season, and Dion Waiters. This is Miles' chance to bring some veteran leadership to what could be a surprisingly talented ball club.

Miles was drafted by the Jazz in 2005. He's averaged 8.4 points and 2.2 rebounds in his seven-year career.
