NBA Free Agency 2012: Dallas Interested In Goran Dragic

With Deron Williams in Brooklyn and Steve Nash likely headed to Manhattan, the Dallas Mavericks are now looking at a Plan C at the PG position.

According to a report from SI.com's Sam Amick, that could be Houston Rockets free agent Goran Dragic:

Dragic, according to the source, would likely also be considered, but only became part of the team's internal discussions in recent days. Dragic, meanwhile, is hoping the Mavericks see him as the best combination of age (26) and talent (far more proven than Lin) and move him up their point guard totem pole.

Dragic, a 6'3 190 PG, averaged 12 points, 2.5 rebounds and 5.3 assists on 46% shooting while backing up Kyle Lowry for the Houston Rockets last season.

He could be an interesting long-term starter for the Mavericks, but the team will have to be careful in terms of what they offer him if they want to remain players in the 2013 free agent market.
