The Houston Rockets, as part of their pursuit of Chicago Bulls restricted free agent Omer Asik, have renounced the rights to Courtney Lee, putting him on the open market.
The Dallas Mavericks are among five different teams who have been linked with Lee:

Lee, an athletic 6'5 200 shooting guard, is a good player who put up decent stats in Houston last year (11 points, 3 rebounds and 1.5 assists on 43% shooting). However, he's not a great defender, only plays one position (SG) and doesn't have any one exceptional skill.
This is the type of player you can find at the end of the first round; he's not someone you want to commit a large sum of guaranteed money too, not in the new post-lockout CBA.
