Rick Carlisle's Mavericks find themselves in a do-or-die situation on Saturday night, as they look to extend their series against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Nobody said defending a title is easy -- and the Dallas Mavericks are sure taking the hardest route possible for a title defense. The Mavericks find themselves trailing the Oklahoma City Thunder three games to none, and needing a historic comeback to advance to the second round of the 2012 NBA Playoffs.
Rick Carlisle's Mavericks nearly left Oklahoma City up two games as opposed to down two games, losing the first two games by a combined four points. The Mavericks laid an egg on Thursday for Game 3, as the Thunder blew out the Mavericks 95-79 as the series shifted back to Dallas.
Now on Saturday, Dallas finds themselves in a do-or-die situation -- the first of many if they look to continue playing this season.
