Mavericks Vs. Trail Blazers Final Score: Dallas Loses To Portland In Overtime, 99-97

The Dallas Mavericks managed to blow a 15-point first half lead by going flat in the third quarter to allow the Portland Trail Blazers to outscore the Mavericks 30-10. After blowing that lead the Mavericks had to come back from eight points down just to force overtime.

The Mavericks went on an 11-0 run to start the fourth quarter, but the Blazers responded to keep the game close. Shawn Marion made a layup 15 seconds left in regulation to tie the game and send it into overtime.

In overtime it was the Blazers LaMarcus Aldridge who had the hot hand and scored six points and the game winning 17-foot jumper as time expired for the win.

The Mavericks had six players score in double figures with Dirk Nowitzki leading the way with 23 points and 14 rebounds, but the difference in the game was a season-high 30 points by the Blazers' Raymond Felton.

The loss for the Mavericks dropped them to the No. 6 spot in West and 2.5 games behind the No. 4 spot.

Mavericks vs. Blazers: Delonte West, Ian Mahinmi Could Miss Game

According to ESPN Dallas' Jeff Caplan, the Dallas Mavericks could be without guard Delonte West and Ian Mahinmi for their Friday-night home game against the Portland Trail Blazers. According to Caplan, Mavs head coach Rick Carlisle said on ESPN Dallas 103.3 Galloway & Company that West stepped on a basketball during Friday's shoot around and twisted his ankle and Mahinmi is out because his fiance is close to giving birth to their child.

If West, who has missed quite a bit of time this season, is out, the Mavs would be in a tough spot at point guard.

If West is out, the Mavs will be in a pickle at point guard. Jason Kidd remains out with a strained right groin, an injury that will keep him out at least through Saturday's game at Memphis.

It would probably force Rodrigue Beaubois to start with Jason Terry capable of playing point guard as well as little-used second-year guard Dominique Jones.

Dallas is currently in sixth place in the Western Conference with a 31-24 record, but both the Houston Rockets and Denver Nuggets are right behind them. This would be a bad time for a let down.
