The Mavericks are one game behind visiting Memphis in the Western Conference standings, but must break a losing streak to the Grizzlies to gain a spot in the playoff race.
The Mavericks have dropped four of their last seven games since a four game winning streak, and will try to take a big win from a Memphis team they're competing with in the NBA's Western Conference standings.
Entering the night, the Grizzlies (fifth) are one game ahead of the Mavs (sixth), and enter Wednesday night having won three games in a row, including a win over conference leader Oklahoma City. The Griz are looking to extend a two-game winning streak against the Mavericks, who were largely without Dirk Nowitzki (back injury) in their most recent meeting, a 96-85 Memphis win Feb. 29.
