Mavericks Will Vote On Whether Lamar Odom Gets A Full Playoff Share

While the Dallas Mavericks are trying to put the Lamar Odom saga behind them in the weeks before the playoffs begin, there's at least one piece of unfinished business that needs tying up.

As part of the CBA, playoff teams receive a certain amount of money for competing in the playoffs as a bonus.

↵

In 2010, every first round team received $180,000 to be split amongst its players, with more bonuses as the rounds continue: $230,000 for the second, $350,000 for the Conference Finals and over $1,000,000 for the NBA Finals.

↵

Players who participated in the regular season, even if they don't make the playoff roster, are traditionally given a share of that pot.

↵

Now, the remaining Mavericks will have to decide whether to cut Odom in on that:

While it seems like an open-and-shut question that he shouldn't, with Charles Barkley even going as far as saying Odom should return his regular season salary to Mark Cuban, the NBAPA might not agree with setting such a precedent.
