After the Mavericks scored the last seven points, two shots from Rodrigue Beaubois' fell just short in the final seconds as Dallas dropped the first of three games in three nights on a West Coast road trip.

Mavericks Vs. Suns Halftime Score: Dallas Leads Phoenix 53-44

At the half the Dallas Mavericks are leading the Phoenix Suns 53-44 due to a hot shooting night by the Mavericks who are shooting 53 percent from the field. Vince Carter is leading the way for the Mavericks with 13 points on 6-of-11 shooting. Carter is the only Mavericks player in double-digits, but the rest of the scoring is spread out over six other players.

The Suns are having trouble scoring tonight and Marcin Gortat is the only player in double figures and keeping them in this game with 10 points and seven rebounds

The second quarter is win the Mavericks took over as they slowly expanded their lead before going up nine points at the half. The three-point shooting is how the Mavericks are pulling away from the Suns, so far they have made three in the second quarter and five over which is four more than the Suns have made.
