The Dallas Mavericks watched a fourth quarter lead disappear but was able to get control back going on to win 95-85 over the New York Knicks.
Dallas led 77-66 entering the fourth quarter only to see the Knicks respond with a 12-0 run to take a 78-77 lead with 4:54 remaining in the game. The Mavericks answered back with a 14-0 run of their own to take the lead back and extend it to 91-78 with just under two minutes remaining.
Dirk Nowitzki hit 8-18 shots and all 12 of his free throw attempts while scoring a game-high 28 points. Rodrigue Beaubois added 18 points off the bench while Jason Kidd finished with 15 points and six assists.
Amare Stoudemire led the Knicks with 26 points while Jeremy Lin added 14 points and seven assists. Steve Novak chipped in 13 points off the bench. Carmelo Anthony struggled his way to six points on just 2-12 shooting in the game.

The Dallas Mavericks built a big early lead before a late run by the Knicks closed the gap to 50-44 at halftime. Dallas led 27-15 at the end of the first quarter but were outscored 29-23 in the second quarter by New York.
Rodrigue Beaubois came off the bench to score 12 points to lead the Mavericks. Jason Kidd has eight points and three assists while Ian Mahinmi and Jason Terry finished the half with seven points each. Dirk Nowitzki has just four points after going 1-8 from the field in the first half.
Amare Stoudemire leads the Knicks with 12 points while Jeremy Lin has nine points to go along with three assists. Carmelo Anthony has six points while Tyson Chandler has four points and six rebounds in the first half of his return to Dallas.
