March hadn't been too kind to the Dallas Mavericks. Headed into Dallas' matchup against Washington on March 13, the defending champions were just a lowly 2-5 in the month of March -- and 2-8 in their last 10 games altogether.
That all changed this past week, though, as the Mavericks bested the Wizards on Tuesday, Bobcats on Thursday and the Spurs on Saturday night. All three wins were much needed for the Mavericks, as they try to climb up the Western Conference standings.
Unsurprisingly, Dirk Nowitzki led the Mavericks in scoring in each of their three wins this past week. A master of consistency, Nowitzki scored 27 points in each of the three contests -- totals that were also game highs in each game.
Not all the news this past week was great for Dallas, as Shawn Marion was unable to play in Saturday's win over the Spurs because of soreness in his left knee. Marion was listed as a game time decision, but ultimately, did not play in Dallas' 106-99 win over San Antonio.
