Mavericks Vs. Warriors Final Score: Dallas Hammered In 111-87 Loss

The Golden State Warriors grabbed the lead in the first half and poured it on in the second as a tired Mavericks team fell 111-87 to wrap up the team's third straight loss in as many nights.

Offensively there was Dirk Nowitzki and not much else for the Mavericks. Dirk finished with 22 points on 7-16 shooting in 30 minutes of action. With Jason Kidd out of the lineup, Jason Terry got the start and finished with 15 points. Rodrigue Beaubois added 12 points off the bench to round out the Mavericks' double figure scorers.

David Lee scored 21 of his game-high 25 points in the first half to help the Warriors to their early lead. Nate Robinson added 21 points off the bench while Monta Ellis finished with 20. The Warriors hit 54 percent of their shots from the field and out rebounded the Mavericks 44-39.

Mavericks Vs. Warriors Score: Dallas Trailing Golden State 52-42 At Halftime

The Dallas Mavericks looked sluggish and tired during the first half of their matchup with the Golden State Warriors in which they trail 52-42 at halftime. This game is the third and final game of a back-to-back-to-back set for the Mavericks.

The Mavericks have struggled offensively making only 13-41 shot attempts but have been able to stay within striking distance thanks to 13-16 shooting from the free throw line. Dirk Nowitzki awakened late in the half and has 12 points to lead the Mavs at halftime. Ian Mahinmi chipped in seven points and six rebounds in the first half.

David Lee carried the Warriors in the first half scoring 21 points and grabbing six rebounds. Stephen Curry returned to the starting lineup and has 10 points at the break. The Warriors shot 53 percent from the floor and hit 5-13 shots from beyond-the-arc.

NBA Standings Update: Dallas Mavericks Sliding In Southwest Division

The Dallas Mavericks are in a bit of a slide, losing two in a row on their current road trip and seven of their last ten.

However, the team's recent struggles have not knocked them out of the huge pack of teams chasing the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference.

But, with only 1.5 months left in the NBA season, the Mavericks have to be more worried about keeping young teams like the Utah Jazz, Minnesota Timberwolves and Portland Trail Blazers at bay to just make the playoffs than defending their 2011 NBA championship.

Dallas would be sixth if things ended today, but their recent skin, including six straight road losses, has removed much of their margin for error. Here's the Western Conference standings as of Saturday March 10:

Western Standings

GP W-L PCT
Oklahoma City Thunder 40 31-9 .775
San Antonio Spurs 39 26-13 .667
Los Angeles Clippers 38 23-15 .605
Memphis Grizzlies 38 23-15 .605
Los Angeles Lakers 40 24-16 .600
Denver Nuggets 41 23-18 .561
Dallas Mavericks 42 23-19 .548
Houston Rockets 40 21-19 .525
Minnesota Timberwolves 41 21-20 .512
Utah Jazz 39 19-20 .487
Portland Trail Blazers 40 19-21 .475
Phoenix Suns 39 18-21 .462
Golden State Warriors 36 15-21 .417
Sacramento Kings 40 14-26 .350
New Orleans Hornets 40 9-31 .225
