The raffle for the "official" replica of a ring for the Dallas Mavericks 2011 NBA Championship has begun. The ring, courtesy of Jason Terry, is valued at $36,000, and the winner gets other prizes as well.
The ring is a 14-karat white gold ring and contains 250 diamonds. The winner will also receive two tickets to the Mavs' Apr. 2 home game against the Los Angeles Lakers, a personal tour for two of the Mavs' locker room, postgame photos and autographs of Terry, a two-night stay in a Dallas hotel, and a $2,000 travel allowance to Dallas to use towards airfare - if the winner is from out of town.
To enter, go to netraffle.org. Tickets are just $2 each, but you have to buy at least five. Terry even takes care of the tax ramifications because he's that kind of nice guy. Proceeds go to The Jason Terry Foundation, which supports numerous causes in Dallas, Atlanta and Seattle.
