The Mavericks will try to slow down Kobe Bryant who has score 40 or more points in his last four games and is averaging 32 points per game this season.

Jan 16, 2012 - The Dallas Mavericks travel to the West coast to take on the Los Angeles Lakers for the first time since the 2011 NBA Western Conference semifinals which the Mavericks won in four games. During their winning streak, the Mavericks have won each game by double digits except for one and have won each game by an average of 18 points.

As for the Lakers, they are playing their third game in four nights and are coming off a lost to the cross-town Los Angeles Clippers 102-94 on Saturday night. One thing the Mavericks need to do is attempt to slow down Kobe Bryant who is averaging 32 points per game so far this season, but has scored 40 or more points in his last four games.
