According to multiple reports Tyson Chandler is closing in on a deal with the New York Knicks.

This is a devastating blow to the defending NBA champions but it was always expected under the new CBA.
It appears the Mavericks will now turn their attention to the free agent class of 2012 in search of a big time free agent to pair with Dirk Nowitzki.
