DeShawn Stevenson Goes To The Nets

Stay connected for news and updates

DeShawn Stevenson did have to settle for a one-year contract after all, but it wasn't with the Dallas Mavericks. ESPN says it's with the New Jersey Nets.

The New Jersey Nets have reached agreement with veteran guard DeShawn Stevenson on a one-year, $2.5 million contract, sources told ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard on Thursday.

Over the weekend there was some talk about Dallas re-engaging Stevenson. Instead, he'll join Avery Johnson, Deron Williams & co. out East.
