Golden Tate Fined For Hit On Cowboys LB Sean Lee

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Golden Tate has been fined by the NFL for his hit on Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee in Sunday's game, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport (via SBNation.com).

The massive block happened on a play in which Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson decided to scramble as the play broke down. Tate described the block in an interview on KJR in Seattle (via Sports Radio Interviews):

"I don't think I hit him as hard as it looked, to be honest. I felt fine. The comparison I gave was any time you hit a baseball bat square, you don't really feel it that much, or hitting a perfect drive. That was the feeling I got, kind of. It didn't hurt me, my neck feels fine, I'm not very sore today. So I made it out of that one safely."

Lee made it out safely as well, and the Dallas linebacker was a good sport about the whole situation. And, although Tate feels fine, his wallet will hurt just a little bit, as he'll be forced to pay a minimum of $21,000 for the hit.
