Cowboys Vs. Seahawks 2012: Tony Romo Never In Rhythm

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was never able to get into any kind of rhythm on Sunday, as the Cowboys dropped their Week 2 contest to the Seattle Seahawks, 27-7.

Romo was just 23-of-40 passing for 251 yards, with one touchdown and one interception. Miles Austin and Jason Witten were Romo's favorite targets, with each receiving 10 targets, but Austin only made five receptions, while Witten made four.

The tone for the offense was set early, as Witten dropped a third-down pass on Dallas' first offensive possession, leading to a blocked punt that resulted in a Seattle touchdown, and giving the Seahawks a quick 10-0 lead.

Kevin Ogletree, Week 1's breakout performer, had just one reception for 26 yards.

Dallas' ground game was never able to get going, either, as the Cowboys rushed for just 49 yards on 16 carries. Since the run was so ineffective, the Seahawks were able to focus on stopping Romo and the passing attack. Though he was sacked only once in the game, Romo faced pressure throughout the game from Seattle's defensive line.

The Cowboys will need better play out of everybody on offense going forward -- Romo, the offensive line, the receivers and the running game. Dallas will host Tampa Bay in Week 3, as Romo and the Cowboys look to get back on track.
