Mike Jenkins Injury: Cowboys CB Passed Physical, Could Practice Saturday

Stay connected for news and updates

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Mike Jenkins could be making his return to the field sooner than expected.

On Wednesday, he passed his physical and might be back at practice as early as Saturday, according to Nick Eatman of DallasCowboys.com:

Jenkins has not practiced since January, after having rotator cuff surgery. Last week, Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said that he did not expect Jones to be ready for the season opener against the New York Giants on Sept. 5. There is no word yet as to how this affects his status for that game.
