NFL Rumors: Tony Romo Wants To Play Six More Seasons

At the age of 32, Tony Romo is hardly a young man. But after spending the first three plus years of his NFL career on the bench, he still sees a long NFL future ahead of him.

In an interview with a local TV host, Romo said he thought he could play at a high-level for another six years:

Unlike most positions on the field, QB's take far fewer hits on a weekly basis, which allows them to extend their careers far past most of their contemporaries.

However, that theory only works with a competent offensive line, which has been a problem for Dallas during nearly all of Romo's tenure. More often than not, he's been running for his life during his time as a Cowboy, and if Jerry Jones wants his franchise QB to play deep into the next decade, he's going to need to keep him upright.
