Dallas Cowboys Training Camp: Bill Nagy Diagnosed With High-Ankle Sprain

Backup center Bill Nagy left the field Monday after suffering an left ankle injury, and X-Rays later confirmed that he suffered a high-ankle sprain, according to the Cowboys official team site.

Nagy was placed on injured reserve last season after breaking the same ankle following four starts at left guard as a rookie. The injury typically takes 2-4 weeks for a return, but can linger for a long period of time. He was expected to get an MRI later Tuesday.

The Cowboys have been dealing with injuries to a few offensive linemen. From the Cowboys site:

This year, Nagy was projected as the backup center behind Phil Costa and is also valuable because of his versatility, which allows him to play both center and guard. The injury comes at a time when fellow offensive linemen, Mackenzy Bernadeau and Kevin Kowalski, both are listed on PUP.
