Gerald Sensabaugh Injury: Cowboys Safety Could Miss Significant Time Following Knee Surgery

Gerald Sensabaugh is expected to miss some practice time at training camp after recovering from surgery on his right knee.

The Cowboys have struggled in the past when it comes to production in their secondary, and Gerald Sensabaugh's injured right knee isn't going to make things any less difficult for the team. The safety recently had surgery on that knee and reports are saying that he could miss some practice time when training camp rolls around.

Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett sat Sensabaugh for precaution during the offseason mini-camps earlier in the summer, but it looks like he's going to actually need some time off in recovering from surgery.

Sensabaugh is expected to be the only returning starter to the secondary, as the Cowboys have attempted to redo the cosmetics of that part of the defense. They added Brandon Carr and Morris Claiborne to play the cornerback positions, with Brodney Pool, Barry Church and Matt Johnson all battling for playing time at safety.
