The Dallas Cowboys announced dates for offseason OTAs and minicamps on Wednesday.
Jason Garrett will get the benefit of a full offseason thanks to labor peace, and consequently, he'll be able to run offseason organized team activities and minicamps. On Wednesday, the NFL announced OTA and minicamp dates for all 32 teams in the league, including the Dallas Cowboys.
Dallas' minicamp and OTA dates are as follows:
OTAs: May 22-24, May 29-31, June 4-7
Rookie minicamp: May 4-6
Mandatory minicamp: June 12-14
The Cowboys will not get their first look at Morris Claiborne this weekend, as he continues to rehab his ailing wrist. Claiborne will be in a cast for another few weeks, and will miss OTAs, but be ready for training camp.
Hopefully for the Cowboys, head coach Jason Garrett will learn and grow as a head coach as he'll now get to conduct his first real offseason as an NFL head coach. After trading up for Claiborne and signing cornerback Brandon Carr, expectations should be high once again headed into the 2012 season for the Cowboys.
