Dallas Cowboys Undrafted Free Agents: Jamize Olawale Profile

When Valley Ranch opened for business today, the Dallas Cowboys didn't waste much time in getting down to official business. During the rookie minicamp, the team had several players in for tryouts in addition to their seven draft picks and almost two dozen UDFA signings. On Monday, the team officially signed two of those tryout players to contracts that will allow them to continue working with the team.

One of the two players was fullback Jamize Olawale, a converted wideout from the University of North Texas. With the free agent signing of battering ram Lawrence Vickers, it would appear that Olawale is currently just a camp body; but as we all know; luck is when preparation meets opportunity.

According to most reports, Olawale impressed with his footwork as well as his receiving out of the backfield. He definitely anticipated being signed by the club at the conclusion of the camp, as he tweeted "Cowboys called they wanna sign me!!! GOD is Glorious...all praise and glory to HIM!!! Gotta stay humble...time to go to work!!!" [DMN] It just took them a week to actually put ink to paper.

Olawale stands at 6'0" and weighs in at 235 lbs, checking in with a 4.53 40-yard dash. What the heck was he doing playing wide receiver? The Cowboys prefer their wideouts cookie cutter at 6'2" 220 lbs anyway. North Texas seems to run an option offense, which would explain he blocking skills being displayed repeatedly in his highlight video he posted himself to the worldwide web.

Take a look yourself and see if you might be watching the 53rd man on the Cowboys roster come September.
