Dallas Cowboys Undrafted Free Agents: Cole Beasley Profile

The Dallas Cowboys have two legitimate studs at wide receiver with Dez Bryant and Austin Miles. With Laurent Robinson leaving Dallas for Jacksonville, there's a bit of uncertainty at the wide receiver position after the Bryant and Miles. The Cowboys did draft Danny Coale to add to the mix at wide receiver, but there still figures to be competition at the position -- competition that will involve undrafted free agents, such as Cole Beasley.

Beasley is a speedy 5'9" receiver, who led SMU in receptions last year, hauling in 86 passes for 1,040 yards and two touchdowns. As you might imagine by his high number of receptions and low touchdown total, Beasley was SMU's slot receiver last season, where he profiles best -- and that's something that Dallas could certainly need.

Beasley was also named to the 2011 Conference USA First Team, as voted on by the coaches in the conference.

Unsurprisingly, as an undrafted free agent, Beasley did not attend the NFL combine, but did attend SMU's Pro Day, where he ran a 4.49 40.

With all the uncertainty after Miles and Bryant at the wide receiver position for Dallas, it seems like Beasley could have a legitimate chance to win a spot on Dallas' roster this season.
