Miles Austin Wasn't Prepared Before The 2011 Season

Dallas Cowboys fans are well aware that wide receiver Miles Austin was sidelined for a significant amount of time during the 2011 season. A slew of hamstring injuries kept him out of action for six games over the course of the season. Miles now admits that due to the lockout, he didn't come into the 2011 season as prepared as he should have been.

According to Brad Biggs of the National Football Post, Austin recently discussed the injuries and states that he'll be in much better shape for the coming season.

"Right now I'm working with the trainers at our facility," Austin said during a promotional appearance at in San Antonio, according to the Dallas Morning News. "I feel like last year I wasn't prepared for the season the way I should've been condition-wise, even though I looked and felt it at the time. That's one thing that I have to keep an eye on. To make sure I'm in the best physical shape I can be."

Austin claims that the hamstring injuries are a thing of the past and that the full offseason will enable him to be ready for the 2012 season when it finally kicks off.
