2012 NFL Mock Draft: Cowboys Select David DeCastro In NFL.com's Latest

With the 2012 NFL draft less than a month away, mock drafts are really beginning to come out of the woodwork. In NFL.com's Chad Reuter's latest mock draft, the Dallas Cowboys address the guard position in the first round by selecting Stanford guard David DeCastro with the No. 14 overall pick.

From Reuter:

Signing free agents Nate Livings and Mackenzy Bernadeau shored up the interior offensive line, but Jerry Jones might consider DeCastro the best player available -- and ensuring the health of quarterback Tony Romo should be a priority.

Tony Romo has the weapons around him in order to succeed, especially at wide receiver and running back, but the missing piece now is to supply him with the offensive line necessary to keep him on his feet and protected from the 300-pound defensive linemen that are paid to hurt him.

DeCastro is a great guard that can start from day one and not only help protect Romo, but open holes for the running backs as well.
