With a long term labor agreement in place and a new lucrative television contract set to kick in in 2014, a spike in the NFL salary cap within the next few years has become widely presumed to happen.

According to CBSSports.com's Charley Casserly, that jump is projected to take place in 2015. In the meantime, the cap will remain flat in 2013 and 2014 (with an estimated projection of $123 million).

Many have assumed that because of the TV deal the increase would be seen as soon as 2014, but Casserly's report seems to squelch that notion.

The Cowboys recently filed a grievance against the NFL after being punished for reported non-compliance during the 2010 uncapped year.
