The National Football Post's Dion Caputi is reporting that the Dallas Cowboys are going to sign Kansas City Chiefs free agent cornerback Brandon Carr to a lucrative deal that would be in excess of $7 million per year, based on a quote from NFL Network's Michael Lombardi:
NFLN's Michael Lombardi on CB Brandon Carr: "he's on his way to Dallas, he's going to sign a contract with the #Cowboys exceeding $7M/yr."

While the story has yet to be confirmed by the Cowboys, Carr would be a major upgrade for the Cowboys' secondary and could free them up to focus on the offensive line in the upcoming draft.
According to another report, the Cowboys were set to host Cortland Finnegan, another free agent cornerback, but it will be interesting to see if they do so if they do land Carr.
