Cowboys vs. Eagles injury report: RB DeMarco Murray returns to practice

Tom Pennington

The Dallas Cowboys had two very important offensive players return to the practice field on Wednesday.

The Dallas Cowboys lost a valuable asset when Bruce Carter went on injured reserve earlier this week, but saw the return of a very key player on Wednesday when running back DeMarco Murray finally participated in practice.

The second-year player has missed the past six games since injuring his left foot on Oct. 14 against the Baltimore Ravens, and it was speculated that Murray might have returned to the field last week. After not being able to get onto the field during the short week, Murray was able to get into the practice for the first time since being cleared to play.

Without Murray on the field, the Cowboys have averaged just over three yards per carry and have become one of the worst running teams in the NFL. In essentially four games and one half, Murray has 330 yards rushing on 75 carries.

Also getting onto the field were center Ryan Cook and left tackle Tyron Smith. Both players missed the loss against the Redskins.
