"I would've booed us, too," Romo said. "We deserved it at that time. We did not start the game the way we wanted to."
The Cowboys gave the ball away on each of their first two drives due to Romo interceptions, and quickly fell down 23-0 early in the second quarter after a third Romo interception was returned for a touchdown by New York's Jason Pierre-Paul. Though Dallas eventually fought back in the second half and narrowly missed pulling off a late victory, the team's woeful start to the afternoon clearly did not sit well with fans.
Only days before the loss, the organization desperately tried to improve its home field advantage by sending out letters that encouraged fans to be heard more than ever. Instead of riling up the crowd however, this message looks to have had the opposite effect in a week where the Cowboys completely sputtered out of the gate.
