Cowboys vs. Giants score: Cowboys complete improbable comeback, lead 24-23 in fourth quarter

After appearing lifeless, the Dallas Cowboys have come all the way back in the third quarter and now lead the New York Giants 24-23.

The Cowboys opened the half with a long, 11-play, 86-yard drive but the Giants held strong on their own 1-yard line. After Phillip Tanner was stuffed twice and Tony Romo missed his receiver on third down, the quarterback found pay dirt on fourth down when he kept it on a bootleg.

Dallas's defense then continued its dominance over Eli Manning and company, forcing a quick three-and-out. Still in their rhythm from the last drive, the Cowboys continued to dink and dunk as Romo relentlessly found Jason Witten open underneath. Romo then found John Phillips for a one-yard touchdown on a broken play to give Dallas an improbable 24-23 lead.

The Giants were finally moving the ball well on the last drive of the quarter but Danny McCray was able to steal an unlikely interception from Manning after the ball rolled off fellow safety Gerald Sensabaugh's backside.

The Cowboys were readying to punt the ball back to the Giants when the quarter ended.
