The Cowboys could be without running back DeMarco Murray, who missed Thursday's practice with a foot injury.

For the second straight day, Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray missed practice with a foot injury. Murray's status for Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers was already in question earlier in the week. It is now likely that Felix Jones will get the start.

Linebacker Anthony Spencer has been out with a pectoral muscle strain for the past two weeks, and this week he is still being limited in practice from the injury. His status for Sunday is still up in the air, but there is some hope since Spencer is slowly improving.

Prior to Thursday's practice, head coach Jason Garrett was cautiously optimistic about Spencer's status:

"We're trying to move forward with him and he has made progress," Garrett said. "Just get to a point at some point, is he capable of going or not? So he did more yesterday and we're hopeful that as we go forward he can do more and play in this ball game. He's a big part of our defense."

In positive Cowboys injury news, starting center Phil Costa, who was limited on Wednesday's practice, was able to fully participate in Thursday's practice.
