Wilson, who works for the Baltimore Sun, claimed that Romo hung up after questions about his inconsistency. Immediately, the social media world erupted with questions about Romo's professionalism and why he would hang up on the media after just 37 seconds of questions. The Cowboys claimed there was an issue on the Ravens end of the call, with Wilson emphatically stating there were no problems and Romo simply hung up.
The Dallas Cowboys public relations team has released audio from their side of the call, which you can find here. The call begins with Romo saying "hello" twice, being told to wait one moment and then being asked what the team needs to do to be consistent.
Romo responds, "Well, I think our team just has to continue to execute a little bit better than we've been..." A lot clicking noise is heard, and then static. Romo says "hello" twice and stays on the line for close to two minutes, stating, "I don't hear anything."
A voice then comes on informing Romo that they think they lost the call, with the quarterback stating that meetings are starting soon and he doesn't know if he has time to stick around while they figure out the issue.
"We'll figure something out," Romo says, before the call is ended.
The quick response to jump on Romo by the media was immediately dampened by the release of the audio. Romo took part in another conference call late this afternoon with the Baltimore media, answering all questions that were asked.
