Former Cowboys Coach Wade Phillips Set To Interview With Bucs

Houston Texans defensive coordinator Wade Phillips is set to interview for Tampa Bay's head coaching vacancy, per ESPN. The news comes just a day after the Texans won their first playoff game in franchise history.

From 2007 until the midway point last year, Phillips was the head coach of the Cowboys. Phillips led the Cowboys to two NFC East titles and a 1-2 playoff record. Phillips, though, was fired in 2010 after the Cowboys started out 1-7.

This season, Houston's defense gave up the fourth fewest points in the NFL, so Phillips has done a good job in Houston -- especially when you consider Mario Williams was placed on IR early in the season.
