Dallas Vs. New York: Cowboys Desperately Need Life, Halftime Adjustments

Jason Garrett has his work cut out for him during halftime. His Cowboys trail the Giants 21-0 and have seemingly looked lost, lifeless and unprepared all night long.

Eli Manning and the Giants' offense have carved up Rob Ryan's defense in the first half, en route to scoring drives of 68, 80 and 96 yards. Manning has completed 15-of-20 passes in the first half for 199 yards and two touchdowns, including a long 74 yard touchdown strike to Victor Cruz which gave the Giants a 7-0 lead.

New York's running game has gained traction as the game has worn on as well. Ahmad Bradshaw leads the Giants in rushing with 46 yards on nine carries and a touchdown. As a team, the Giants have accumulated 78 yards on 16 rushes -- good for a 4.9 yards per carry average.

Dallas' offense has been lifeless as well. Tony Romo has completed 10-of-12 passes for 91 yards, but the Cowboys can't seem to get a drive going against the Giants defense. The Cowboys are a meager 1-of-6 on third down conversions.

Felix Jones is having a rough night as well, with just 18 yards on seven carries.

Dallas is losing the penalty battle as well, racking up six flags for 38 yards in the first half. New York, by contrast, has been penalized only once.

Garrett now faces the toughest challenge of his career: he has to not only spark life into his team, but draw up the necessary halftime adjustments to climb out of a 21 point hole in the second half... or else the Cowboys will be taking a sad flight home back to Dallas.
