More good news for Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys: the team and first round pick Tyron Smith have opened up contract talks - and they're progressing rapidly according to Calvin Watkins. Per Watkins, Smith is scheduled to catch a flight to San Antonio so that he can participate when training camp practices open on Thursday. 

Smith was selected ninth overall by the Cowboys out of USC. Signing him and Doug Free on consecutive days is excellent news for the Cowboys as they look to rebuild their offensive line. 

Watkins also points out that the team and Marc Colombo are still working on possibly restructuring Colombo's contract. If Colombo doesn't agree to restructure his current deal, it's likely he'll be released by the Cowboys - joining Marion Barber, Roy Williams, Kris Brown and Leonard Davis as members of the 2010 Dallas team that have been cut since the lockout was lifted.
