Jerry Jones: Tony Romo Is The Best Clutch Quarterback

If Jerry Jones could have any quarterback in the fourth quarter, it apparently wouldn't be Tom Brady. Or Aaron Rodgers. Or Ben Roethlisberger. Nope, it would be his very own Tony Romo. Jones told KRLD-FM on Friday morning that there is no other quarterback he'd rather have in a clutch situation than Tony Romo.

"As far as having somebody with it all on the line, as far as somebody that can keep a play alive for a game-winning type situation, there's no one that I'd rather have than Romo," Jones said Friday on KRLD-FM.

There are some statistics to support Jones' claim, so he's not horrendously off base. Tim MacMahon of ESPN Dallas points out that Romo has a higher career fourth quarter passing rating than the likes of Brady and Rodgers.

Even if I'd rather have Brady or Rodgers on my team than Romo, Jones' comments should come as no surprise. He's the owner of the team, and he should be supporting his quarterback -- especially headed into the biggest game of the season.
