Tony Romo Reportedly Set To Practice Wednesday

In another positive sign for his availability for Sunday's do-or-die road game against the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo is reportedly set to practice Wednesday despite the bruised hand he suffered in the opening minutes of their 20-7 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Christmas Eve.

Romo did not return to the game, but X-rays taken in the locker room were negative, and it's likely he could have played if the game had any effect on the Cowboys playoff chances.

Now, with Dallas not signing an emergency third-stringer to back up Romo and third-year QB Stephen McGee, all indications are the Cowboys medical staff is treating the QB situation as if it were any other week.

McGee performed decently when pressed into action for the first time this season last week, completing 24-38 passes for 182 yards and 1 TD and zero INT's.

Dallas' second-string QB, Jon Kitna, was placed on IR with a back injury earlier in the season.
