The Cowboys took some time out of their Buccaneer preparation schedule to look towards the future on Thursday. Futures contracts to be exact. The team looked at a collection of players that have made their way onto Dallas' radar, but failed to sign any of the 17 candidates.
Interesting on the list is that the team worked out three fullbacks. This is one position that could definitely be perceived as a now-contingency need. The team struggles mightily in running the ball when Tony Fiammetta is unable to play. Although they finally diagnosed his problem as an inner ear one, TE John Phillips and seventh round pick FB Shaun Chapas have proven they are not suitable replacements to lead Felix Jones into the hole.
Here's a look at the complete list. Some even have NFL experience.
