Wade Phillips Calls Leonard Davis' Job Safe

Leonard Davis struggled so much Sunday in the Cowboys' loss to the Titans that he had to be benched for backup Montrae Holland, but Wade Phillips claimed Monday at his presser that he saw a pro bowler on tape and that his starting role is safe.

Phillips said Monday that he viewed Davis' performance in the first half of Sunday's game as little more than an aberration.

"He's a Pro Bowl player, that's what I see," Phillips said, per the Dallas Morning News. "I thought he played good when he went back in."
