The Dallas Cowboys came flying out of the gates against the Pittsburgh Steelers and lead 3-0 after the first quarter at Cowboys Stadium. The scoreboard doesn't reflect Dallas' dominance, but that is the team's own doing, especially after DeMarco Murray fumbled just before the end of the quarter to keep Dallas from adding to its lead.

The Cowboys opened the game with a stop and then moved the ball down the field quickly, but they stalled at the Steelers' 32. That forced them to bring on Dan Bailey, who nailed a 50-yard field goal to put them on top.

After another stop, Dallas took over again and, just like their last drive, moved the ball with ease. Tony Romo had time in the pocket and Murray had a great 27-yard run, but his fumble killed the drive.

Dallas out-gained Pittsburgh 129-48 in the first quarter. The Cowboys had 58 rushing yards to the Steelers' 12 and 71 yards through the air, while Pittsburgh managed just 37. Offensively and defensively, it was all Cowboys, but that doesn't mean much without points.
