The Baylor Bears were able to come back from a 14-0 first quarter deficit to defeat the upset minded ULM Warhawks 47-42. Baylor starting quarterback Nick Florence threw two interceptions in the first quarter which led to both ULM touchdowns, but after that Florence and the Baylor offense kicked into high gear as they outscored ULM 47-28 the rest of the way.
Florence rebounded nicely by ending his day by completing 26-of-39 passes for 351 yards and four touchdowns. Wide receiver Tevin Reese was one of Florence's main targets as he caught eight passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns, and the other two touchdowns were thrown to Terrance Williams.
Once the Bears made their comeback in the second quarter, they were unable to put away the Warhawks until late in the second half. The same thing happened at the beginning of the fourth quarter where the Warhawks took a 35-34 lead on a 1-yard touchdown run by quarterback Kolton Browning.
