The Cleveland Browns took a quarterback in the first round of the 2012 NFL draft Thursday night, selecting Brandon Weeden from Oklahoma State.

This likely means the end of the road for former Texas QB Colt McCoy, who after two years, will be looking for another place to stick as a NFL quarterback.

McCoy was picked by the Browns in the third-round of the 2010 draft and made eight starts in his rookie season. He completed 60 percent of his passes for 1,576 yards, six touchdowns and nine interceptions.

After being declared the starter in 2011, McCoy started 13 games, threw for over 2,700 yards with 14 TDs and 11 picks, but GM Mike Holmgren and head coach Pat Shurmur have decided to go in a different direction with Weeden.
