Nick Florence And Lache Seastrunk Shine In Baylor's Spring Game

Let the Nick Florence era begin in Waco. Florence, the quarterback who has been tapped by Art Briles to succeed Robert Griffin III as the next signal caller for the Baylor Bears offense, completed 14-of-18 passes for 183 yards and three touchdowns in Baylor's spring game on Saturday.

Florence wasn't the only player who has big shoes to fill, as Lache Seastrunk is poised to be the next big playmaker in the Bears explosive offense after players like Terrance Ganaway and Kendall Wright did a year ago. Art Briles seemed pleased with both sides of the ball on Saturday, and realizes that this a new team in 2012.

"I thought we made some plays on both sides of the ball. Defense was pretty consistent throughout most of the day. Offense had some good moments just need to be a little more consistent but overall I thought the guys played well."

The Bears will open the 2012 football season with a home game on Sept. 1 against the SMU Mustangs.
