2012 NCAA Tournament Bracket Update: Baylor To Face Xavier In Sweet 16

The Sweet 16 is set for the South Region with three of the top four seeds advancing. Baylor is the No. 3 seed and they are taking on No. 10 seed Xavier. Baylor was challenged by both South Dakota State and Colorado, but they held off both to move on. Xavier advanced by first upsetting Notre Dame and then holding off No. 15 seed Lehigh.

Top seeded Kentucky advanced by easily defeating Western Kentucky and Iowa State. Kentucky takes on Indiana who happens to be only one of two teams to have defeated Kentucky this year. Indiana made it this far by defeating New Mexico State, and then they were able to hold off No. 12 seeded VCU.

Here is Friday's schedule for the South regional semifinal:

No. 3 Baylor Bears vs. No. 10 Xavier Musketeers, 7:15 p.m. ET, CBS

No. 1 Kentucky Wildcats vs. No. 4 Indiana Hoosiers, 9:45 p.m. ET, CBS
