Baylor didn't look terribly impressive in the first round, as they only managed an eight point win over the No. 14 seeded Jackrabbits. Perry Jones III only scored two points in the win, shooting just 1-of-6 from the field, but did add 11 rebounds. If the Bears plan on advancing to the Sweet 16 and beyond, they'll need more production out of Jones III.
Colorado, who formerly belonged to the Big 12, upset UNLV on Thursday, winning 68-64 over the sixth-seeded Rebels -- despite turning the ball over a staggering 23 times. Colorado's defense was excellent though, as the Rebels shot a meager 9-of-36 from behind the arc.
Despite the poor showing against South Dakota State, the third-seeded Bears are seven and a half point favorites to beat Colorado.
Tip off between Baylor and Colorado is scheduled for 7:40 p.m. CT. Televised coverage can be found on TNT.
