After an embarrassing 68-54 loss to Kansas Wednesday night on Baylor's home floor, it's clear Scott Drew isn't properly using his players on either side of the ball.
Baylor jumped out to an early lead but Kansas made a late charge to take a 33-30 lead over the Bears at halftime. Much like the first meeting, the Bears have had a difficult time controlling the Jayhawks' frontcourt. Last time it was Thomas Robinson that had the big game but it is Jeff Withey this time around.
Withey scored 17 points in the first half to lead Kansas hitting 5-6 field goal attempts and 7-8 free throws. Conner Teahan and Tyshawn Taylor each added six points while Robinson finished with four points and six rebounds despite picking up two personal fouls in the first half.
Pierre Jackson leads Baylor with eight points. Quincy Acy added seven points and Cory Jefferson six for the Bears. If Baylor is going to have a chance in this game then they will need much more of an impact from Perry Jones III who was held to just three points in the first half on 1-3 shooting.
