Baylor Vs. Oklahoma: Game Preview, TV Info And More

The Bears will try to hold serve against the bottom of the Big 12 as they get ready for March.

After a tough 77-72 win at Texas on Monday, the No. 14 Baylor Bears have a chance to sweep the rest of their Big 12 regular-season schedule and solidify a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Their last three games are against Oklahoma, Texas Tech and at Iowa State, with only the Cyclones, who have been back and forth on the NCAA Tournament bubble all season, looming as a potential threat.

The Sooners, who come to Waco on Saturday, have been respectable in their first season under head coach Lon Kruger, but they don't have the talent base to compete with the top of the Big 12. And while they have a 14-13 overall record, they are only 4-11 in conference play.

The Bears won the first meeting between the two teams handily, shooting 54% from the field and cruising to a 77-65 victory in Norman on Jan. 24.

Perry Jones III, who has been criticized for his inconsistent play, had one of his best games of the season, scoring 21 points on 9-15 shooting and grabbing 12 rebounds.

Oklahoma, meanwhile, was led by junior guard Steven Pledger, a three-point specialist who had 17 points while going 3-9 from long range.

For the Sooners to have any chance of pulling the upset on Saturday, they'll need Pledger to shoot Baylor out of their 1-3-1 zone while hoping the Bears settle for jumpers on the other end of the floor.

The 12:45 game will be broadcast regionally on the Big 12 Network and streamed online at ESPN3.
